A few days ago Donald Trump tweeted: “I suggest that we add more dollars to Healthcare [sic] and make it the best anywhere.” For once I agree with Trump. Any proposed replacement for Obamacare should EXPAND coverage, not limit it. But unfortunately, this is precisely the opposite of what Trumpcare actually does. It guts Medicaid and removes protections from pre-existing conditions, making everything from mental illness to being pregnant a pre-existing condition. And all of this in the name of providing a tax cut to billionaires so they can buy another yacht.
Call Bob Latta, and ask him if he disagrees with Trump on healthcare. Ask him to reject any Senate plan that contracts, rather than expands, healthcare coverage.
Call Rob Portman, and tell him to honor Trump’s promise to spend more money on healthcare to make it better. Ask him not to cut Medicaid and gut pre-existing conditions.
