The secret Trumpcare bill has dropped today. And it is TERRIBLE. It doesn’t just devastate the Medicaid expansion, it destroys Medicaid as we know it. If you have friends and family members with disabilities or mental health care issues, their lives are about to get much worse if this passes. It cuts funding to Planned Parenthood. Seniors will see their rates drastically rise. If you have an elderly family member in a rest home, they may soon be coming to live with you. And you are not safe even if you get insurance from your employer, not the ACA marketplace. New lifetime caps means that if your child is born with serious enough disabilities, they can use up their lifetime limits in a month.
This health care bill is a cynical, moral monstrosity that is intended only to give more money to the rich.
