Daily Action for Monday, June 26th: What the Heller Is Wrong with Portman?

Monday, June 26^th:

One moderate Republican in a swing state with a Republican governor has stood up to Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump. He has pointed out that Trumpcare does nothing to actually reduce premiums. He noted, rightly, that it takes away health insurance from 10 million Americans.

This senator was not Rob Portman. It was Dean Heller of Nevada. He stood on stage with the Republican governor of Nevada to say that he will vote for no on Trumpcare.

Why hasn’t Rob Portman done the same? What is stopping him? Ohio has even more reason to reject Trumpcare than Nevada, since our state at the center of the opioid epidemic. And why hasn’t Kasich shown up?

Call Rob Portman, and urge him to make the courageous decision like Heller. Tell him to reject Trumpcare.

Also call John Kasich. Ask him to commit to standing with Rob Portman in rejecting Trumpcare.

Do not call Rob Portman or John Kasich unless you live in Ohio.
