Daily Action for Monday, August 28th: Censure Trump for the Hate

As devastating flood waters rose in Texas and Hurricane Harvey came ashore, Trump was busy. Not with preparing for the hurricane, of course. He spent his time pardoning the notorious Sheriff Arpaio, who ran jails where prisoners were denied basic sanitary items and who was convicted of contempt of court for continuing to racially-profile immigrants. Trump hopes that we will not notice this blatant abuse of presidential power as Texas suffers. Let’s not let him, and let us remind our congressmen we have not forgotten the message of hate and divisiveness that Trump sent after Charlottesville.

Call Rob Portman and Bob Latta, and urge them to support a congressional censure of Donald Trump for his support of Nazis in Charlottesville and for pardoning someone as odious as Sheriff Arpaio.

Please remember our friends in Texas tonight, and keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Please donate to one of the charities listed in this guide.

Please only call Bob Latta if you live in Ohio District 5.
